Accessories for "small" decoders ("small" scales N to O) 

This page lists articles from the ZIMO product range, which can be used in combination with small scale decoders. Some of the articles (highly flexible stranded wires, ...) nonetheless are interesting for every model railroader, independently of the decoder.

FLEXL10-xx

10m highly flexible stranded wire in colour of choice:

black (BK), white (WE), red (RE), blue (BE), gray (GY), orange (OE), yellow (YW), green (GN), brown (BN), purple/violet (VT)

for additional loco wiring, the same wires as used for the ZIMO decoders
Specification: total cross section 0.06 mm2,  11 cores (highly flexible).

1000 m highly flexible stranded wire in colour of choice:

black (BK), white (WE), red (RE), blue (BE), gray (GY), orange (OE), yellow (YW), green (GN), brown (BN), purple/violet (VT)

STIFT6

modify decoder

6-pole pin connector with a pitch of 1.27 mm (corresponding to the NEM651 connectors) to transform a standard wired decoder into a F-type (MX630 -> MX630F).

RSTECK

8-pole (2x4) pin connector with a pitch of 2.54mm (corresponds to NEM652 connectors) to transform a standard wired decoder into a R-type (MX630 -> MX630R).

 

BUCHS6

N decoder counterpart

6-pole socket connector with a pitch of 1.27 mm, as counterpart to decoders with a 6-pole pin connector (-N, -F) to make the decoder pluggable and thus changeable.

It is used with N-types or F-types, i.e. for decoders that are intended for locos with integrated 6-pole counterpart.

STIFT22

MTC-decoder counterpart

22-pole (2x11) pin connector with a pitch of 1.27 mm, as counterpart for decoders with a 22-pole socket connector ("MTC" also called 21-pole connector, i.e. C-types and D-types) to make the decoder pluggable in locos without interface, and is thus interchangeable easily.

It is used with C-types and D-types, i.e. decoders, which are intended for locos with integrated "MTC" counterpart.

BUCHS22

PluX decoder counterpart

22-pole (2x11) socket connector with a pitch of 1.27 mm as counterpart for decoders with a 22-pole or 16-pole PluX pin connector, to make the decoder pluggable into locos without interface and thus easily changeable.

It is used with -P16 and -P22 decoders, i.e. decoders for locos with integrated PluX connectors.

Note: this product consists - like all mentioned counterparts - for only one component, which has to be mounted by the user. A lot more comfortable is the solution with ADAPLU, ADAPLU15 or ADAPLU50, which provide large solder pads on the proper circuit board; see loco and adapter boards.

  PLUX16 16-pole (actualy 15 pole because of missing index-pin) SMD pin connector with a pitch of 1.27 mm. This connector is situated directly on the 16-pole PluX-decoders.
PLUX22 22-pole (actualy 21 pole because of missing index-pin) SMD pin connector with a pitch of 1.27 mm. This connector is situated directly on the 22-pole PluX-decoders.

M4000Z

Amplifier module for a logic level output of a decoder. Most of the decoders have logic level outputs, additionally to the normal outputs. These logic level outputs can be switched between 0V (OFF) and 5V (ON) and can therefore not be loaded, but need an external amplifier. Most of the time, logic level outputs are alternately used as SUSI outputs (Clock&Data) and are activated by CV #124 Bit 7.  
Te M4000Z's output supplies 0.5V.

Subminiatur servo on basis of a memory wire; the 3 wires correspond to those of a normal servo (control wire, ground, 5V) and so meet the servo standards. The RC-1 can therefore be used with every ZIMO decoder which has a servo output.

ATTENTION: in contrast to normal motor servos, this has to stay in the desired position also with little mechanical load, i.e. the servo permanently consumes power.

ATTENTION II: After power-on, a calibration run is done, this can not be switched off. Therefore, this servo is not very practical for model railways.
