MX64P16 .

               The first decoder with PluX interface .

 


"PluX“ will be used in future by many loco manufacturers, probably ROCO and FLEISCHMANN will sart in 2008. "PluX" has some advantages compared to the 21-pin interface (no wasted pins for C-sinus).

„PluX“ will exist in 3 versions: 8-pin, 16-pin, 22-pin. MX64P16  includes the  16-pin PluX.

The size and the meaning of the pins are defined in the NMRA DCC RP 9.1.1. But there will be a difference between simple & cheap PluX decoders and a ZIMO PluX decoder.

The characteristics of MX64P16 are very similar to those of the MX64D. Special measures were taken to make the MX64P16 reistant against high voltages for envirements of not-stabilized DCC systems (althoug the other ZIMO decoders are quite good in this respect).
