ZIMO Load Code Shop

Welcome to ZIMO's new online shop for load codes!

Here you can now buy load codes for ZIMO sound decoders and generate them directly, at any time, 24/7. You can find instructions at the bottom of this page.
The load code is issued automatically immediately after payment – on the website and via email.
As with any online shop, you must register during the ordering process. On subsequent visits, you can simply log in again with your user data.

When registering, please indicate whether you have had any previous business contact with ZIMO and, above all, whether you are a private customer or a dealer. By entering the company name and, if possible, the ZIMO customer number, dealers will then be shown the corresponding input fields and prices, which also makes it easier to create the invoice, which you will receive by email in the next few days.

Here you can find load codes from all providers who create sound for ZIMO.
These are for so-called ‘small’ sound decoders, from N gauge to H0, and for large-scale sound decoders, gauge 0, 1, G, 2, ...

Instructions for purchasing a load code

Note: These instructions are also available in a more compact form directly on each product page where the data for the load code must be entered.

First, the correct product must be selected from the list of load codes: Should it be a load code for a ‘small’ decoder (gauge N to H0) or for a large scale decoder (gauge 0, 1, 2, ...)? In the respective group, you will then find a list of all providers from which the author of the desired sound project can be selected.

Now you must enter the ID of the decoder for which the sound project is to be activated in the 4 fields provided for this purpose. This should be read out beforehand from the corresponding CVs of the decoder (via MXULF, ZPP Config or ZSP):

  • CV #250: Defines the decoder type (e.g. ‘6’ for MS450, “16” for MS481, ‘7’ for MS990). It can be read from CV #250 or from the operating instructions for ZIMO MS/MN decoders.
  • CV #251: 1st part of the decoder serial number (range 0-255, 1-3 digits, e.g. 33)
  • CV #252: 2nd part of the decoder serial number (0-255, e.g. 4)
  • CV #253: 3rd part of the decoder serial number (0-255, e.g. 222)

(e.g. an MS450P22 with CV #250 = 6 and serial number 33.4.222)

PLEASE READ THE DECODER ID AND ENTER IT IN THE FIELDS CAREFULLY !
Sound projects and load codes can only be used for sound decoders, i.e., MX and MS type sound decoders or FS function sound decoders—they will not work for MX non-sound decoders or MN and FN type decoders. Typing errors or transposed digits will result in incorrect IDs and thus an incorrect load code that you cannot use. However, as this is still a valid load code (for another decoder) and this information was received immediately upon purchase and thus ‘used’, there is NO RIGHT OF RETURN.

Then add the product (load code ...) to your shopping cart.
Once you have entered the code correctly, you can now go directly to your shopping cart (in the menu) or select another product. To do this, you must return to the list via the side menu or by clicking ‘back’ and select the product. Even the same product can only be selected and purchased multiple times in this way, because this only makes sense if the load code is intended for another, different decoder and therefore other CV values must be entered (at least CV #251-253).

From the shopping cart, you can then proceed to the ‘checkout’. Here, if you are not yet logged in, you will be asked to log in or, if you are a new customer, to register. Please fill in all fields here if possible.

Once payment has been confirmed at the end of the purchase process, the load code(s) will be generated and immediately issued as a 4-digit number.
The load code will also be included in the payment confirmation email, which will be sent to the email address provided during registration. From this email, you can also access your order and thus the load code at any time.

The generated load code can then be entered into CVs #260, #261, #262 and #263 in the decoder to activate the sound project.
This can be done easily BEFORE loading the sound project via ZPPkonfig or via an MXULF.
(In ZPPkonfig, simply paste the code previously stored in the clipboard (copy) using the button ‘Paste’).
