MOTOR and FUNCTIONS

Total 2 A (MX69L) to 5 A (MX69V), Motor 2 A - 5 A,
8 (MX69L, S, A) function outputs up to 2 A (total),
4 inputs for fuction control with reed contact, etc.

4 servo outputs, for decouplers, pantographs, etc., assignement to all functions (F1 - F12). MX69V also provides 5 V power to the servo. Special adjustments for live steam locos (operation with 1 servo or 2 servos; all acceleration CVs applicable, preventing from change of direction if steam valve is open, etc.)

Control of external energy storage module MXSPEIG.

"SUSI" Interface for external sound modules, etc.

Prepared for RailCom ("bi-directional communication").

Special features for use with LGB systems and within locos with original LGB sound modules (MX69 replacing "onboard decoder"), also
new serial interface for LBG sound modules.

Prepared for infrared communication (both directions: from loco to track detectors, and from track senders to loco). Currently no ready plan for SW implemantation.

Common specifications
of all MX690 types

SOUND

Sound memory 16 Mbít (playing time 2 - 3 min).

Sample rate 11 kHz or 22 kHz (according to sound type).

4 sound channels simulaneously playable..

Audio amplifier 1,1 W sinus on stabilized voltage, for 8 Ohm speakers.

Original sounds of various locos onboard for sample listeing and selcting by the user:

Loading of other sounds to the decoder with ZST ("ZIMO Service Tool") and MXDECUP (Decoder update device).

Optimimizing of sound plaback for climbing and acceleration with immediate check of the success.

Chuff synchronization by sensors or software simulation.

Freie mapping of sound samples to F1 .. F12, "playable whistle".

MX69L

"Low cost" type:
no functional restrictions (all features and outputs like MX69S) but
no heat sink (therefore only 2 A instead of 3 A) and
no SUSI plug (but soldering pads).
MX69S
Standard version with 3 A - motor and 8 function outputs;
all inputs/outputs as listed above.
MX69V
As MX69S, but:
improved heat sink (therefore current up to 5 A, when there is some heat conductance with metal parts),
14 function outputs, second 16-pin connector for outouts, inputs, infrared, etc.
,
low voltage supply for function outputs, 1,2 V or 5 V (default), adjustabley to any voltage by resistor - useful for low voltage light bulbs, smoke generators, servo supply, etc.
MX690S
As MX69S, but with necessary hardware and software for sound function. Second connector for speaker output and sensor inputs.

MX690V

As MX690S, but:

14 function outputs,
low voltage supply for function outputs, 1,2 V or 5 V (default), adjustabley to any voltage by resistor - useful for low voltage light bulbs, smoke generators, servo supply, etc.

MX69A
planned for 2006
Special version for direct replacement of an LGB "on-board decoder"; MX69 in "Sandwich" with an onboard adapter board (from ARNOLD HÜBSCH). All connectors for the original cables from the LGB locomotive. Shipped with necessary parts for mounting. Ca. 70 x 40 x 25 mm.
